So I saw The Avengers and I will not spoil it by giving away plot points but it was awesome.  The action was spot on, black widow was kick ass, both her and hawk eye were represented as vital parts of the team on par with those that had powers, and the Hulk! OMG this was the first Hulk movie that portrayed him properly for me.  

Other movies have had Bruce Banner’s general backstory and his weaknesses but they do not really show as much depth to the actual Hulk part of Bruce Banner. They treat it as a simple punch and crush creature.  While it is indeed a rage monster it is also the rage monster of an incredibly smart individual and can think.  In other films when Hulk starts fighting against the army or who ever is chasing him at the time they do not get into as much of his motivation or let the audience see that his seemingly indiscriminate violence toward those around him is a primal reaction to threats which he can differentiate between. Which is why his girlfriend constantly calms him down.  In the new Avengers movie they show more of the Hulks capability to understand and channel himself.  Thus giving the screen character more depth and usefulness than they previously portrayed. Go Joss Whedon.

If you haven’t guessed yet I think that Hulk stole the show though all the characters were very well played and I think well cast for a super hero movie.  Go Marvel for redeeming itself after the third Xmen movie (cutting all of the depth of Pheonix and killing off both Cyclops and Professor X) and all three Spiderman movies (they made me hate spiderman even though the supporting cast was great). 

As I walked out of the theater my brother pointed out the Dark Knight Rises poster.  I am super pumped for it.  Bummed that they are not going to use any Batgirl in it and make up for that terrible and completely false only standing movie Batgirl (Alicia Silverstone in Batman and Robin) but exited for Catwomen Anne Hathaway to give a more favorable showing than Halley Berry (that movie just left me confused).  The one thing I am still pissed about though is the whole concept of Bane for the movie.  I know they wanted to differentiate the costume from the one used in Batman and Robin but I don’t know where they got the weird gas mask thing and cargo vest.  

Bane was a wrestler and wears a very specific mask which is kick ass and does not need to be messed with.  Also, has anyone else noticed the fact that in promotional shots Bane, while seemingly in fighting mode and therefore on venom, is the same size as Batman? WHAT THE FUCK!!!  He is suppose to become an exaggerated muscular body builder looking block of flesh.  He’s suppose to look capable of breaking Batman’s back WITH HIS HANDS!!!  I hope when I see the movie this all makes more sense but I sadly doubt it. Still going to see it though… ;P

My Uncle gave me a ring he made himself out of a scrap of silver. It’s the first ring I’ve been able to wear for an extended period of time without losing. It’s a simple little spiral but there is love in it. I guess that’s what makes the difference.

I spent most of this week worried because I hadn’t heard from Prince and I was having crazy fantasies of him getting back with his ex or suddenly deciding I wasn’t worth his time and then reminding my self that if anything had changed he would have told me cause he’s a decent guy. 

It got to a point where I was checking facebook every three minutes. This is of course a hyperbole but it was pretty close to this.

So this morning I deactivated my account for a grand total of maybe two hours. Then I realized that I know people who only communicate with me through facebook and decided to log back on. Lo and behold Prince was on chat and we talk for half an hour. 

Though I am aware that I tell this boy way too much information as it is even I know not to inform him of how crazy I went this week. 

Best part is that I still got an essay finished ten minutes into class.
